Sunstroke, How to Solve it? Menswear Guide

If I could control the weather, then I would definitely skip the hot summers. Unfortunately it’s all up to Mother Nature so we can’t really do anything about it. During the summer deciding what to wear and how to wear it is a very difficult choice. It is essential that you save yourself from the scorching heat and avoid getting sunstroke.

Whether we love it or not, it’s been really hot in the last few weeks so we rushed to get a what to wear guide together immediately, minus the sunscreen.

Find some amazing tips for summer fashion below. Let’s take a quick look:

  • A More Relaxed Fit

Shirt Fitting Types
This section is a little out there but it’s all about keeping your cool in all types of weather.

Yes, fit is king. On the other hand, there are a lot of other things that need to be taken into consideration.  Menswear is at present seeing a rebirth of a fuller, more mannish cut of clothing, and this is perfect for hot summers.

Even though its obvious we thought we’d make sure to cover the basic point, if the material is a little loose it allows air to flow more throughout the day, which in turn lessen sweat and overheating.

Obviously, I’m not saying do an entire refurbish of your wardrobe, but for those super warm days why not have a handful of alternatives that concentrates more on wraps than fit – be it trousers, shirts or jackets.

  • Popover Shirts

After the choice of a more relaxed fit for your wardrobe, next need to be added to your wardrobe is a top more commonly known as a popover shirt. For the novice, a popover fashion is really amazing, button –up but the placket stops roughly halfway down. Think of it as a shirt version of a Henley top.

  • Go Sockless Sensibly
It’s not for everyone, but in my opinion the feeling of leather against your feet cannot be missed. However, a few essential safety measures need to be taken: talcum powder to dry out your feet before putting the shoes on; odor/bacteria spray to stop them stinking; cedar shoe trees for accumulating after use; and a pair of socks to carry for the days when you might end up walking a lot.

  • Short-Sleeve Shirts

Short Sleeve ShirtOne more controversial choice, however, when it comes to balmy weather there’s nothing more suitable – as long as it’s worn well.

You want to make sure that the sleeves end mid-bicep and there should be some space between the shirt and your arm, along with making certain that it fits well through the shoulders and chest.

It might be better to get a few in linen and if not good old cotton will also do the trick providing a nice cool day at work.
